Refunds & Cancellations

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This is a plain-language starting template, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before relying on it for your business.

This page explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work on Rave. It supplements our Terms of Service.

1. What you're paying for

Rave is a subscription software service. A paid plan (Encore or Pro) unlocks higher limits — more Showcases, more videos per Showcase, longer clips — plus your own branding and reels without the Rave watermark. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in US dollars through our payment processor, Stripe. Current prices are listed on our pricing section.

2. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Studio → Plans & pricing → Manage billing, which opens your Stripe billing portal. No phone call or email is required.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access to your paid features until that date, and you won’t be charged again. Your account then returns to the Free plan.

3. What happens to your reels after cancelling

Nothing you already published disappears. Reels you compiled while on a paid plan keep their branding and stay live at their existing share links. Going forward, new reels compiled on the Free plan carry the “Powered by Rave” badge and Free plan limits apply.

4. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and we don’t pro-rate partial periods — cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current one.

That said, we’d rather you be happy than hold onto a payment you didn’t mean to make. If you were charged by mistake, charged after cancelling, billed twice, or the service didn’t work for you, email us within 30 days and we’ll make it right — typically a full refund of the most recent charge. We review every request individually and respond within two business days.

5. Free trials

Paid plans may include a free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you don’t cancel, the plan begins and the first payment is taken at the end of the trial. We’ll always show the trial end date in your billing settings.

6. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days and we’ll email you. If it still doesn’t go through, the account moves to the Free plan. Your data and published reels stay intact — you can restart a plan anytime.

7. Price changes

If we change the price of a plan you’re on, we’ll give you reasonable notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel before renewing if the new price doesn’t work for you.

8. How to reach us

Billing questions, refund requests, or anything else: rene@meetrene.com. We reply within two business days.
